State of the Game: July 14, 2016
14/07/2016 05:00 PM
This week, we’re talking about fixes and PVP tweaks! We’ve had two maintenances to further improve the servers and the game by having deployed a patch that fixed some issues such as the Mega Map and Consumables Stacking.
Check out the video for more on what we talked about during Tuesday morning’s State of the Game stream.
In today’s maintenance we’ve deployed a server side change to the way weapon damage is given/received in PVP! Players will now deal 20% more damage to other players with weapons. It’s important to note this doesn’t affect skill damage! This is a first step toward balancing the PVP gameplay to be more in line with what you, the community, want as a player experience. Mind you, we’re aware this doesn’t completely solve problems with tank builds and sticky bomb power, but the team is working on broader changes, however these will need more time and will be implemented later on.
The changes that have been included in today’s maintenance are:
- Modified PvP weapon damage modifier so players will deal about 20% more weapon damage to each other (note that this change does not impact skill damage).
- Added more kill volumes to Dragon’s Nest map. When exiting the map area, characters will be automatically killed.
Starting tomorrow we’ll also be releasing the Season Pass Monthly Events! To find out how you, as a Season Pass owner will benefit from these, and where to find them, please check out the dedicated article here.
We’re aware of the many discussions that are currently ongoing regarding drops. The team is following these discussions and are contemplating the options they have, mostly concerning drop weighting and drop rates for now.
The team is reading the feedback regarding the multiple Gear Sets and changes that you would like to see happen to certain Gear Sets.
Today’s changes should help improve the situation, however we are looking at other, bigger changes for the future to provide an even better experience for you in the future.
We’ve been following the discussions regarding the nerf of the G36. We’d also like to note that the change in recoil/stability was unintentionally left out of the patch notes. We apologize for this inconvenience and confusion.
With the patch on Tuesday and the PVP tweak today, we’re looking forward to seeing feedback regarding these changes.
Of course, we’re also working to resolve the Known Issues and any additional bugs that may be reported by the community.
A quick recap of our Known Issues includes:
Blue Division Tech in Dark Zone 201+, Reclaimer consumables applying to agents outside of the party, Falcon Lost disconnections, and a few more. About the AlphaBridge Gloves; the fix has been implemented, however it seems that gloves that were recalibrated before the fix may now have incorrect stats. This is being investigated
